About the Author

Rabbi Maurice Lamm’s varied career included a professorship at RIETS at Yeshiva University’s Rabbinical Seminary in New York, where he held the Chair in Professional Rabbinics. For many years he served as spiritual leader of one of the largest Orthodox synagogues in the United States, Beth Jacob of Beverly Hills. Rabbi Lamm is also the author of The Jewish Way in Love and Marriage, Becoming a Jew, Living Torah in America, Consolation, and The Power of Hope.
